During the visit, the President inspected and handed over keys to new home owners of the Vihiga Milimani Affordable Housing Project, broke ground for construction of a 10,000-seater stadium at Kidundu as well as the Mbale modern market.

Once complete, the two projects will help transform Vihiga county through nurturing talents and unlocking opportunities for our residents especially the youth.

Through the President's permission, I addressed Wananchi at Mbale market, taking the opportunity to appreciate the government's plan to include Vihiga County in the transformative projects being rolled out Countrywide.
These projects are set to uplift the lives of our people as we look ahead to 2027 where I have declared interest in the County's Gubernatorial seat.

Additionally, I appealed to the President to help in relieving the transportation burden that soccer teams from Vihiga County undergo by donating atleast 2 buses.
In his response, the President promised to donate one bus for a start and pledged Kshs. 500,000 each to help meet budgetary requirements for the 5 Top-Tier teams.
